Job Title: Country Finance Manager Netherlands

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing company, Prothya Biosolutions, in the role of Country Finance Manager Netherlands. The position reports directly to the Corporate Controller and is country responsible for the Netherlands.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform month-end account closing activities and prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Be responsible for financial accounting, including maintaining the General Ledger Accounts, preparing journal entries for accruals, variances, payroll, depreciation, etc.
  • Take care of tax compliance with tax preparation and filing activities.
  • Internally, ensure components of internal controls, Management Information reporting, and work with our auditors.
  • Work closely with Financial Planning and Analysis for explanation of deviations from budget and forecast.
  • Support the auditor in conducting internal and external audits.
  • Prepare cash flow statements, management reports, and ad hoc reporting requests to support decisions.
  • Perform analysis in collaboration with the Corporate Controller/Manager Accounting.
  • Develop procedures and working methods for the organization and the maintenance of the financial administration.
Your Profile:

You are an enthusiastic, analytically sharp, and communicatively strong financial professional with a healthy dose of 'ownership' and 'entrepreneurship.' You have a proactive and hands-on attitude, can motivate your colleagues, and are experienced in organizations with large stock movements and tax legislation.

On a daily basis, you fully understand the possible implications of your work and its risks and responsibilities. You are an enthusiastic personality who likes to meet, but much rather exceed, expectations.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in similar positions.
  • Knowledge of tax legislation, financial administrations, administrative guidelines, and procedures, automated systems.
  • Knowledge of business manufacturing administration is a plus.
  • Good command of Dutch and English language.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Hands-on.
  • Team player.
