The Team
The European Buying Team holds comprehensive responsibility for Product Assortment & Strategy for Full Price Stores, SIS, and e-Concessions across Europe. Collaborating closely with Merchandise Planning, Trade, and Allocation Teams, the Buying Team evaluates performance metrics, engages with Stores and Markets, and translates insights into actionable commercial and strategic initiatives. The team's mission is to curate the most compelling product assortments that align with PVH's corporate objectives and DTC Strategy while ensuring the Global Brand Vision is effectively implemented throughout Europe. The Position
Reporting to the Buying Director, the Senior Buying Manager will oversee the Men's division. Key responsibilities include developing and managing exceptional product strategies, business processes, and merchandising frameworks that foster the sustainable growth of Calvin Klein in the EU Region. We seek a seasoned professional who values quality, pays attention to both details and the broader context, and can swiftly convert data into actionable insights. Building essential cross-functional relationships is crucial for achieving team objectives. This role demands outstanding interpersonal and people management skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate a European merchandise strategy by analyzing future trends, current business performance, and feedback from directly operated Stores, Brand Partners, and regional markets.
  • Collaborate with Global & European Product Teams to identify gaps in the line plan and propose enhancements to the market assortment.
  • Manage the complete buying process for your designated areas, from providing timely feedback during Collection development to market execution and post-market analysis.
  • Develop aligned assortments in partnership with Ecom to enhance DTC business and consumer messaging.
  • Assess seasonal assortments against the merchandise plan to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Keep relevant departments and affiliated offices updated on key global product initiatives, ensuring proper execution.
  • Work with Merchandise Planning to oversee annual and seasonal budgets and inventory plans by country.
  • Prepare market presentations that outline product direction, style assortments, and pricing strategies.
  • Analyze sales performance and inventory levels by market.
  • Provide essential product knowledge support to Stores to boost sales and enhance customer engagement.
  • Maintain close communication with stakeholders to stay informed about buying trends, competitor developments, and consumer insights.
  • Guide team members across functions towards achieving business and profitability goals; monitor progress and adjust strategies as necessary.
  • Lead and effectively communicate with a team of Retail Merchandisers/Buyers, focusing on team building, coaching, and training.
  • Cultivate a high-performing team by developing talent, setting performance metrics, and providing regular feedback.
  • Anticipate and prepare for future business and organizational needs.
  • Take a proactive role in the Calvin Klein Men's sector, owning product, processes, relationships, and outcomes.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in the industry.
  • Exceptional communication skills, fluent in English (written & spoken); proficiency in additional European languages is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for accuracy and presentation.
  • A collaborative team player with a positive attitude and adaptability to change.
  • Hardworking, flexible, capable of multitasking, and solution-oriented with strong prioritization skills.

  • Appreciate and understand diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and other retail-specific software is a plus.
