We are seeking a skilled Control Room Operator to join our team at Undutchables. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the remote monitoring and analysis of renewable energy resources in the Netherlands.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and make a real impact on the sustainability industry.
Main Responsibilities:
- Remotely monitor wind turbines and other plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise;
- Serve as the first point of contact for external parties, including contractors on site, and coordinate with them to resolve any issues or concerns;
- Daily status monitoring of assets and reporting to stakeholders on performance and any issues encountered;
- Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and provide recommendations for optimizing asset performance;
- Work closely with the Asset Management Team to ensure seamless communication and coordination;
- Manage balance of plant controls and power/curtailment systems, ensuring that all equipment is functioning within safe parameters;
- Collaborate with planners, site technicians, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination;
- Develop and maintain reports on asset performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement;
- Participate in quarterly visual inspections on site, completing necessary training and adhering to safety protocols;
- Support Asset Managers with day-to-day duties and contribute to enhancing operations and reliability of assets.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree (HTS) or Associate Degree (MBO/MTS) plus relevant working experience, or equivalent qualifications;
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically, with a focus on analytical thinking and data-driven decision-making;
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively;
- B2 Dutch language proficiency and willingness to improve; comfortability using the language for both internal and external communication;
- Sufficient English language skills for effective communication with international colleagues and partners;
- Passion for the sustainability industry and renewable energy sector, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth;
- Experience with SCADA software is a plus, but not required;
- Valid driver's license (B) and ability to travel to sites as needed.
