As a Senior Electronics Test Designer at Sioux Technologies, you will play a pivotal role in crafting and implementing thorough testing strategies for our innovative electronic products.

Key Responsibilities as a Senior Electronics Test Designer

Your role will encompass designing and executing verification and validation processes for electronic systems, documenting outcomes, addressing issues, and continuously improving testing methodologies for both research and development as well as production settings.

Given your leadership position in electronics testing, we expect strong collaboration skills across all organizational levels and with various stakeholders.

A crucial aspect of your position will be mentoring and guiding junior engineers. You will establish and oversee testing infrastructures, documentation, and applications, leading teams through performance evaluations from inception to completion while automating testing processes. Furthermore, you will conduct and supervise accelerated life testing and environmental assessments, including thermal, vibration, shock, dust, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) tests.

Managing budgets related to testing and contributing to cost-reduction initiatives are essential components of your role. You will take charge of the entire testing lifecycle, from initial design to final assembly, ensuring that all project timelines and objectives are successfully achieved.

In pursuit of continuous improvement, you will refresh outdated testing strategies and tools, perform regular error analyses in production, initiate preventive measures, and develop lasting solutions.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • A Master's degree in Electronics.
  • Over 5 years of experience in electronics verification and validation within the high-tech sector.
  • Proficient in utilizing and developing test setups with oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, and automated test equipment (ATE).
  • Familiarity with temperature, pressure, and vibration testing, including relevant standards and documentation.
  • Knowledge of verification processes in accordance with standards and regulations for complex systems.
  • Skilled in tools such as LabVIEW, Keysight VEE, and Test-OK.
  • Experience with programming languages like Python and Matlab.
  • Understanding of quality management tools such as FMEA, 8D, 5 Whys, and Ishikawa diagrams.
