As a Senior Electronics Test Designer at Sioux Technologies, you will play a pivotal role in crafting and implementing thorough testing methodologies for our innovative electronic systems.

Key Responsibilities of a Senior Electronics Test Designer

Your role encompasses designing and executing verification and validation processes for electronic components, documenting outcomes, addressing issues, and continually refining testing techniques applicable to both research and development as well as production settings.

Given your leadership position in electronics testing, we expect you to demonstrate strong collaborative skills across all organizational tiers and with various stakeholders.

A vital aspect of your responsibilities will involve mentoring and guiding junior engineers. You will establish and oversee testing infrastructures, documentation, and applications, leading teams through performance evaluations from inception to completion while automating testing processes. Additionally, you will conduct and supervise accelerated life testing and environmental assessments, including thermal, vibration, shock, dust, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) tests.

Managing budgets related to testing and engaging in cost reduction initiatives are essential components of your role. You will take charge of the entire testing lifecycle, from initial design to final assembly, ensuring adherence to project timelines and objectives.

In pursuit of continuous improvement, you will refresh outdated testing strategies and tools, perform regular error analyses in production, initiate preventive measures, and develop lasting solutions.

Qualifications Required

A Master's degree in Electronics. Over 5 years of experience in electronics verification and validation within the high-tech sector. Proficient in utilizing and developing test setups with oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, and automated test equipment (ATE). Familiarity with temperature, pressure, and vibration testing, including relevant standards and documentation. Knowledge of verification processes in accordance with standards and regulations for complex systems. Proficient in tools such as LabVIEW, Keysight VEE, and Test-OK. Experience with programming languages like Python and Matlab. Familiarity with quality assurance tools such as FMEA, 8D, 5 Whys, and Ishikawa diagrams.
