As a Senior Electronics Test Designer at Sioux Technologies, you will play a pivotal role in crafting and implementing detailed testing strategies for our innovative electronic systems.

Key Responsibilities of a Senior Electronics Test Designer

Your role will encompass a variety of tasks, including the design and execution of verification and validation processes for electronic components, documenting outcomes, addressing issues, and continuously improving testing methodologies for both research and development as well as production settings.

As the lead for electronics testing, you will be expected to demonstrate strong collaborative skills across all organizational levels and with various stakeholders.

A crucial aspect of your position will involve mentoring and guiding junior engineers. You will establish and oversee testing infrastructures, documentation, and applications, leading teams through performance evaluations from inception to completion while automating testing procedures. Additionally, you will conduct and supervise accelerated life testing and environmental assessments, including thermal, vibration, shock, dust, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) tests.

Managing budgets related to testing and engaging in cost reduction initiatives will be essential components of your responsibilities. You will take charge of the entire testing lifecycle, from initial design concepts to final assembly, ensuring adherence to project timelines and objectives.

In pursuit of continuous improvement, you will update outdated testing strategies and tools, perform regular error analyses in production, initiate preventive measures, and develop lasting solutions.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • A Master's degree in Electronics.
  • Over 5 years of experience in electronics verification and validation within the high-tech sector.
  • Proficient in utilizing and developing test setups with oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, and automated test equipment (ATE).
  • Familiarity with conducting temperature, pressure, and vibration tests, including knowledge of relevant standards and documentation.
  • Understanding of verification processes in accordance with standards and regulations for complex systems.
  • Proficient in tools such as LabVIEW, Keysight VEE, and Test-OK.
  • Experience with programming languages like Python and Matlab.
  • Knowledgeable in quality management tools such as FMEA, 8D, 5 Whys, and Ishikawa diagrams.
