About the Role
We are seeking a talented Principal Scientist to join our Technology Solutions Global R&D team at JDE Peet's. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and driving modelling work on various processes and products for global R&D and Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead scientific and computer-modelling projects, ensuring efficient process, ingredient, pack, and machine development.
- Act as a physical and/or chemical modelling consultant for R&D (and when applicable for Operations) and provide scientific sense-checking in early project phases.
- Mentor and guide other associates and teams in their scientific experiments, data analysis, and model development.
- Champion scientific rigour and discipline within R&D, coordinate internal knowledge-sharing sessions, and manage external publication clearance processes.
About You
We are looking for a scientist with broad experience across disciplines, able to link scientific questions to key business priorities. A drive for excellence, accountability, and strong interpersonal skills are essential. You should hold a master's or PhD in physics or chemistry, have 10 years of research experience, and a proven track record in FMCG companies (7 years in R&D and/or operations).
Benefits
JDE Peet's offers a competitive salary range of $140,000 - $160,000 per annum, depending on location and experience. Our company values diversity and inclusion, and we strive to create an open and collaborative environment where you can grow and contribute to our success.
