As a Process Improvement Specialist, your insights and outcomes are grounded in empirical data. Utilizing your project management expertise, you will establish the appropriate DMAIC framework and develop a timeline that guarantees adherence to deadlines.
You will often oversee projects from inception to completion, collaborating with all stakeholders to ensure the organization receives the necessary support. Ultimately, you will facilitate the successful execution of changes alongside the business owner. Each assignment will present unique challenges, encompassing initiation, implementation, and evaluation; you will handle it all.
Your responsibilities will include a variety of projects: from minor process enhancements to strategic initiatives where Lean methodologies are applied for analysis and organization. These projects typically involve cross-functional improvements, where you will guide and advise senior management on their challenges. You will rely on your team, as you will consistently work on projects alongside colleagues within dynamic project groups. You will perform assessments to identify areas for enhancement, which may focus on boosting customer and employee satisfaction, achieving cost reductions, or enhancing future revenue opportunities.
As a Process Improvement Specialist, you will engage in projects such as:
Streamlining the turnaround time and processing duration within the Credit origination workflow Developing a system to collect and utilize ESG data, enabling tailored ESG guidance for Corporate Banking clients Structuring the setup, roles & responsibilities, and operational procedures for newly established or significantly changing departmentsWork Environment
The Strategy Execution & Implementation (SE&I) team operates as a center of expertise within the COO office of ABN AMRO. SE&I comprises a diverse group of professionals skilled in Program, Project, Change, Implementation management, and Lean Six Sigma consultancy. In addition to these competencies, they possess specialized knowledge of client units and banking domains. SE&I empowers the bank to manage and execute both strategic and regulatory-driven transformations. By taking end-to-end ownership, they ensure that changes are fully integrated into the organization, thereby achieving effective and efficient transformations with proven results, enhancing the bank's capability to execute change and 'Make Strategy Work'.
As a Process Improvement Specialist, you will be an integral part of the Sales & Operational Excellence Consultancy team within the SE&I unit of the COO office. You will collaborate closely with fellow (Lean) consultants, the global P&C departments (Management Control & Regulations and regional P&C departments), various client segments (Commercial Clients and Corporate & Institutional Clients), products (Financing Solutions and ABF), and other (external) stakeholders (IT, Risk, and Finance) to facilitate the change process.
Your Profile
Lean or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification A minimum of 6 years of experience in Lean (Six Sigma) initiatives with demonstrable impact Capable of mentoring less experienced colleagues Exceptional communicator who can naturally assume a leadership role Outgoing personality, able to engage at multiple levels and serve as a trusted advisor to senior management Strong analytical, presentation, and consultancy abilities Proficient in translating a comprehensive perspective into actionable steps Fluent in Dutch and English (both spoken and written)We Offer
