Job Title: Postdoctoral Fellow in Drug Delivery, Nanomedicine

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join our research team at the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy, LKS Faculty of Medicine. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research projects in the field of nanomedicine and drug delivery.

Research Focus:

Our lab is focused on developing innovative nanotechnology-based solutions for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, with a particular emphasis on cancer and neurodegenerative diseases. We are seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to contribute to our research efforts in the following areas:

  • Design and development of small molecules, nucleic acids, and peptide therapeutics
  • Design, preparation, and characterization of nanoparticles
  • Employ state-of-the-art techniques to assess the physicochemical properties of nanoparticles
  • Integrate innovative approaches to enhance the specificity and efficiency of advanced therapeutics
  • Conduct cell culture studies using cell lines, primary cultures, and/or patient tissues
  • Conduct in vivo studies, including administration of nanoparticles and monitoring therapeutic response
Requirements:

To be considered for this position, applicants must have a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology, Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Bioengineering, Chemistry, Data Science, or a related field. Postdoctoral experience is preferred. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of conducting high-quality biological or chemical research and a demonstrated history of writing reports and scientific articles based on research results.

Desirable Skills:

Experience in advanced cell culture techniques and in vivo models is highly desirable. Proficiency in various cell and molecular biology experimentation techniques, such as PCR, gels, Western blotting, Immunohistochemistry, ELISA, and flow cytometry, is also desirable. Additional advantageous skills include experience in bioconjugations, in-vivo tracking modalities, and imaging techniques for monitoring drug delivery dynamics.

What We Offer:

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a temporary basis for 1 year, with the possibility of renewal up to 3 years subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
