About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Sourcing Manager - Non-Product Related to join our team. As a key member of our Sourcing organization, you will be responsible for implementing sourcing strategies for non-product related categories in close cooperation with internal stakeholders like Operations or R&D.

Our products are of high complexity with innovative technologies for unique customer applications, and our Manufacturing, Research labs, Software, and IT are of a high standard. You will drive commercial optimization while meeting the highest technical levels and minimizing risks on quality and timeliness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set the strategy and define plan and planning for the Sourcing related activities in NPR.
  • Align Sourcing strategies with organizational objectives and ensure stakeholder buy-in.
  • Identify the need for incremental Suppliers (or opposite) and evaluate supplier performance.
  • Be the link between Operations, R&D, Sourcing, and supply base.
  • Identify gaps and constraints in the supply base and act on solving them timely.
  • Identify contractual needs and gaps and manage contract negotiations.
  • Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers and drive cost savings and value optimization through effective negotiation strategies.
  • Represent Sourcing in the process for new equipment selection and capex negotiation.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, legal, operations, and department heads, to understand their requirements and priorities.

Requirements

  • BSc, BEng, or MSc degree, technical or business oriented.
  • Team player with strong communication skills (English is essential).
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills, up to executive level.
  • Internal and supplier relationship management proficiency, able to demand strongly in a constructive manner.
  • Entrepreneurial combined with a win-win attitude.
  • Able to obtain buy-in from internal (executive) stakeholders.
