About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Customs Process Administrator to join our team at Maersk. As a Customs Process Administrator, you will play a critical role in coordinating and organizing the full range of customs services, from order acceptance to customs clearance.

Main Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage customs clearances, including certificates, and resolve incidents.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all Import & Export declarations and Transit Movements.
  • Deliver high-quality financial activities relevant to Customs House Brokerage.
  • Collate and present data reports to Management, Customer, Internal Stakeholders, Compliance and Implementation Teams.
  • Review and update Operating Manuals regularly to ensure compliance with standard procedures.
  • Ensure work carried out complies with standard procedures as defined in the Operating Manuals.
  • Maintain up-to-date Quality Assurance Procedures that clearly reflect current working practices.
  • Ensure compliance with local customs authorities' and statutory requirements.
  • Maintain excellent business relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to team knowledge sharing and expertise exchange.
  • Lead or participate in Customs-related projects.
  • Ensure training is completed to cover all accounts in the team.
  • Foster team spirit and staff engagement.

Requirements

  • Relevant customs experience and certification.
  • Local customs authorities' knowledge, including classification, reclaims, and websites.
  • Experience with one of the relevant Customs and IFMS Systems (LSP, Softpack, AGS, NCTS).
  • Outlook and user-level experience of Microsoft applications.
  • Strong customer-facing and interaction skills with a high level of customer orientation.
  • Team engagement and support.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Dutch and English language proficiency.
