The Role of the Sales Manager

The Sales Manager plays a pivotal leadership role in formulating, owning, and implementing the sales strategy for the Netherlands division.

Responsibilities

  1. Support and coach the divisional sales team to achieve business targets and individual objectives.
  2. Collaborate with the Sales Director to drive divisional sales initiatives across individual channels.
  3. Lead the implementation of the Netherlands divisional wholesale strategy in line with the PVH vision and in close collaboration with the Business Development team.
  4. Deliver steady and accelerated growth across existing wholesale customers.
  5. Establish and execute a comprehensive divisional wholesale roadmap that aligns with the overall company strategy and growth plans.
  6. Meet and exceed quarterly and annual revenue and profitability goals for the division.
  7. Establish relationships with the Amsterdam Head Office team to ensure market needs are met and drive growth plans.
  8. Build strong relationships and strategic partnerships with key wholesale customers.
  9. Work cross-functionally with wholesale operations to optimize divisional shipping targets and order books.
  10. Focus on brands and category performance from a sell-out and sell-in perspective to create growth opportunities for immediate revenue and long-term opportunities.
  11. Provide strategic leadership, being the voice of the wholesale customer, regarding assortment planning, marketing plans, in-store, and online.
  12. Analyze and communicate weekly and monthly reporting of results and developments across the business.
  13. Ownership of Divisional Order Books, P&L, and reporting structure.
  14. Demonstrate an intimate understanding of our products, vision, and business; be able to help anyone understand any aspect of the company.
  15. Keep up to date with market knowledge of competitors, product, and pricing structures as well as execution and local market activity.
  16. Accountable for sample management, loss, and recovery.
  17. Accountable for the thorough implementation of all customer-related initiatives, successful Shop In Shop projects, and the representation of the brand across all areas of distribution.
  18. Collaborate with the marketing team to drive marketing strategies and initiatives.

Requirements

  1. You will have previous sales management experience.
  2. You will have a proven track record of leading and developing teams, displaying the ability to inspire trust and cultivate belonging.
  3. You will ideally have Omni-channel experience, coupled with a knowledge of the Digital Fashion landscape.
  4. You will take ownership, having a desire to own projects and exceed expectations, with the ability to find solutions and deliver results within a rapidly changing, entrepreneurial, technology-driven culture.
  5. You will collaborate to win, having strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build relationships with ease.
  6. You will be a commercially astute and confident decision maker, communicating with impact across all levels.
  7. You will work well with change, being able to adapt fast and work with pace.
  8. You will have an immersive fashion trend interest and knowledge of major accounts and market needs and stay curious about the ever-changing market landscape.
  9. You will have excellent negotiation skills, make informed decisions always backing yourself with data and insights.
  10. You will have a full Clean Driving License.
