Overview

Kraton, a leading company in the industry, is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to oversee local country tax work for European entities. This key position plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance and efficiency in tax management.

Job Description:

The International Tax Manager will be responsible for reviewing and supervising the preparation of IFRS and local GAAP income tax accruals for foreign entities. This includes reconciliation of deferred taxes and tax accounts. Additionally, the manager will review and calculate uncertain tax positions under IFRIC 23 for foreign entities.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and supervise the preparation of IFRS and local GAAP income tax accruals for foreign entities assigned.
  • Reconcile deferred taxes and tax accounts.
  • Review and calculate uncertain tax positions under IFRIC 23 for foreign entities.
  • Manage minimum tax requirements (Korean CFC and Pillar II) for assigned entities.
  • Manage local country tax work, including review of local country compliance and preparation of estimated tax payments for foreign income taxes.
  • Respond to internal inquiries regarding various tax-related matters and identify credit opportunities.
  • Assist with tax technical research and analysis.
  • Identify and capture process improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain a tax calendar.
  • Develop goals and objectives for staff and provide performance feedback.
  • Manage consultants and tax preparers on projects.
  • Ensure team deadlines are met.
  • Deliver honest, constructive feedback to staff.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 7+ years of experience in a large corporate tax environment, preferably with Big 4 firm experience.
  • Demonstrated skills in project management and improvement projects.
  • Solid local tax experience and technical skills.
  • Transfer pricing experience is a plus.
  • Ability to lead a group of professional employees and develop solid goals and objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work well with others and under minimal supervision.
  • Mastery of technical research and willingness to teach staff how to perform it.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires prioritization and multitasking.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.

Location: Almere, Netherlands.
