Overview of the Position

We are seeking a seasoned lawyer with a minimum of 8-10 years of expertise in facilitating procurement processes, possessing a robust background in Intellectual Property (IP) and Information Technology (IT). A solid understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies, along with experience collaborating with US legal professionals and organizations, is essential.

Academic Qualifications

A law degree from a recognized university.

Professional Experience

At least 8-10 years of legal experience in an international financial or IT/telecommunications setting. Membership in an 'In-House Counsel Association' or a similar organization is preferred.

Areas of Expertise

Procurement, IT/IP, AI, and innovative technologies.

Primary Responsibilities

01. Strategically plan and implement complex legal initiatives to provide comprehensive legal guidance and recommendations that support the operations of the organization while ensuring adherence to legal standards.

02. Offer legal assistance for new company projects by conducting thorough research on specific legal challenges and providing informed opinions and advice.

03. Draft, review, and propose modifications to corporate contracts, engage in negotiations, and suggest amendments to agreements globally for clients, suppliers, and development initiatives.

04. Establish benchmarks for corporate contracts and formulate/review legal policies and procedures.

05. Oversee and manage global litigation in collaboration with management, staff, and legal representatives to secure optimal resolutions. Negotiate settlements with third parties to prevent litigation.

06. Collaborate with management, staff, clients, suppliers, legal representatives, and public authorities.

07. Manage administrative functions within the department and serve as an effective support for the manager and colleagues.

08. Continuously enhance personal knowledge of developments in relevant legal areas, including commercial and competition law, licensing issues, and telecommunications, to assess potential impacts on organizational operations.

09. Mentor and guide junior legal counsel in task execution and review the work of external legal advisors.

10. Oversee risk management and control frameworks on a project basis, comprehend the corporate strategic risk landscape, and propose strategies to mitigate identified risks.
