Overview of the Position

A seasoned legal professional with a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in facilitating procurement processes, possessing a robust background in intellectual property and information technology, along with a solid understanding of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.

Educational Background

Juris Doctor or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution.

Professional Experience

At least 8-10 years of legal experience in an international financial or IT/telecommunications context - Membership in a recognized In-house Counsel Association or similar organization is preferred.

Areas of Expertise

Procurement, Intellectual Property, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, and emerging technologies.

Primary Responsibilities

01. Strategically plan and implement complex legal initiatives to provide comprehensive legal guidance and recommendations across the organization, ensuring adherence to legal standards.

02. Offer legal insights for new company initiatives by conducting thorough research on specific legal challenges and providing informed opinions.

03. Draft, review, and suggest modifications to company contracts, actively participating in negotiations and advising on amendments for global clients and suppliers.

04. Establish standards for contractual agreements and develop legal policies and procedures.

05. Oversee and coordinate global litigation efforts with management and external counsel to achieve optimal resolutions, negotiating settlements to prevent litigation.

06. Collaborate with management, staff, clients, suppliers, and legal representatives to facilitate effective communication.

07. Manage administrative functions within the legal department and provide support to the department manager and colleagues as needed.

08. Continuously enhance knowledge of relevant legal developments, including commercial and competition laws, licensing issues, and telecommunications regulations to assess their potential impact on operations.

09. Mentor and guide junior legal staff in their responsibilities, reviewing the work of external legal advisors.

10. Oversee risk management processes on a project basis, understanding the strategic risk landscape and proposing mitigation strategies.
