Overview

JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Food Safety Lead to join our team in the global quality and food safety department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving food safety excellence across all product categories, including retail, professional, and R&D.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and Drive Food Safety Initiatives
    • Develop and implement HACCP plans and systems for tracking corrective actions
    • Liaise with global and regional food safety specialists on key trends and outcomes from risk assessment for implementation at factory level
    • Manage KPIs that contribute to overall sustainability targets of JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams
    • Work closely with global and regional quality and food safety teams to ensure alignment and consistency in food safety practices
    • Collaborate with R&D teams to ensure that new products and processes meet food safety standards
  • Develop and Implement Food Safety Training Programs
    • Design and deliver training programs for factory personnel on food safety best practices
    • Develop and maintain training materials and resources
  • Manage Food Safety Audits and Compliance
    • Lead and coordinate food safety audits and compliance activities
    • Ensure that all food safety audits and compliance activities are completed in a timely and efficient manner

Requirements

  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in a food safety role, preferably in a multinational company
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Strong knowledge of HACCP principles and practices
    • Experience with food safety auditing and compliance
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
