Van Hay is seeking a seasoned Global Compliance Director to lead the development and implementation of our global compliance program.


About the Role:


We are looking for an experienced professional with 8-15 years of relevant compliance experience, ideally with a legal background. The successful candidate will have recent working knowledge of Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption, Data Privacy, Competition/Antitrust laws and regulations, and Third Party Due Diligence.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop and implement a global compliance plan, determining which policies should be put into place and rolling these out, as well as monitoring progress.
  • Be ambassador to making compliance an integral part of the company, including but not limited to legislation, client agreements and ensure business is conducted in line with company guidelines and ethical business practices
  • Be of support to the remote local compliance officers and the legal department in interpreting policies and guidelines and in developing their legal compliance strategy and procedures
  • Proactively identify relevant compliance risks
  • Ensure regular compliance reports for the Board of Directors and the Shareholders
  • Provide training on compliance risk assessment;
  • Embedding a strong compliance culture within the organisation
  • Travel 25%

About You:


The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree level qualification, certified compliance professional, and proven experience with the development and rollout of a compliance program. Experience gained within a multinational environment is also essential. Strong stakeholder management skills (internal & external) and ability to handle stressful situations and manage competing priorities are a must. Proactive, results-oriented, and driven, with a solid change management skill set.
