About the Role

Cogent Communications is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Global Account Manager to join our team. As a Global Account Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities within national and regional sales territories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify new business opportunities through direct calling, email, and contact efforts
  • Work directly with IT Decision Makers to position Cogent's services for new business
  • Achieve monthly revenue goals by selling into commercial and retail buildings, carrier neutral hotels, data centers, and colocation facilities

Requirements

  • Proven experience in direct hunting, B2B sales role with quota achievement
  • Ability to identify, qualify, and generate new business through prospecting and research
  • 4-8+ years of solid, B2B sales experience in a telecom arena with collocation and wholesale experience

A generous base salary, structured tenure pay increases, and an uncapped commissions plan offer unlimited earnings potential. A full benefits package takes effect within 30 days of employment, and stock options are also included.
