Senior Procurement and Category Management Specialist

At ING, we're seeking a skilled professional to join our Global Procurement team as a Senior Procurement and Category Management Specialist. This role is a key part of our technology procurement strategy, and we're looking for someone with a strong background in IT sourcing and category management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with key business partners to ensure alignment with strategic direction and priorities.
  • Drive efficiency by identifying opportunities for scale, reducing fragmentation, and pooling expertise across countries.
  • Own multi-million Euro international procurement and strategic projects from cradle-to-grave.
  • Develop and lead supplier contract negotiations, ensuring compliance with regulatory and compliance clauses.
  • Manage contracts with existing suppliers and identify opportunities for new suppliers.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant work experience in procurement, preferably with a procurement qualification.
  • Solution-orientated with experience in the end-to-end lifecycle of projects for the Technology category.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to drive fact-based discussions.
  • Strong knowledge of legal aspects of procurement.
  • Independent operator with great empathy skills to connect with colleagues.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and manage complexity.
  • Master English language/communication perfectly, with knowledge of Dutch language an asset.
