As a Senior Procurement and Category Management Expert - Technology, you will be part of ING's Global Procurement team, responsible for global purchasing, including category management, and owning the procurement policies, controls, and system platforms used by local procurement and business functions.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled, passionate, and driven professional to lead our Technology Procurement and Category Management team. The ideal candidate will have gained procurement experience in IT Sourcing and Category Management, preferably in Software, SaaS, and IT services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with key business partners at all levels to ensure buy-in to the ING Procurement Policy.
  • Drive efficiency by reducing fragmentation, pooling expertise, and prioritizing higher impact spend areas.
  • Own multi-million Euro international procurement and strategic projects from cradle-to-grave.
  • Develop and lead supplier contract negotiations, including counterparty financial strength analysis and pricing analytics.
  • Manage contracts with existing suppliers and identify new opportunities.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of relevant work experience leading projects in Procurement and Category Management.
  • Solution-orientated with demonstrable experience in the end-to-end lifecycle of projects for the Technology category.
  • An excellent negotiator with fact-based discussion skills.
  • Knowledge of Dutch language is an asset but not a must-have.
