Senior Supply Chain Director

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Director to join our team at GKN Aerospace. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, with a proven track record of driving operational performance and implementing process improvements.
About the RoleThis is a senior leadership position responsible for leading the site supply chain function, including planning, logistics, and associated performance metrics. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, able to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Developing and executing the site supply chain strategy to achieve business objectives;
- Leading a team of supply chain professionals to deliver operational excellence;
- Designing and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs;
- Collaborating with program teams and site leaders to ensure effective supply chain management;
- Optimizing inventory strategy and performance metrics;
- Managing logistics activities and associated costs, including freight, warehousing, and internal movements;
- Providing regular updates and insights to site leadership on supply chain performance.
To be considered for this role, you should have a bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, along with at least 7-8 years of experience in a senior supply chain management position within a manufacturing organization. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills, are essential for success in this role.
