About the JobWe are seeking an experienced and skilled Credit Controller to join our team in the Netherlands. As a Credit Controller, you will play a vital role in managing our debtors and making informed decisions about credit allocation.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Maintaining strong relationships with customers to ensure invoices are clear for payment;
- Collecting past due amounts through various means, including Direct Debit, emails, calls, and dunning letters;
- Improving credit performance by reducing overdue and outstanding amounts in their specific regions;
- Reviewing credit hold reports and releasing orders as appropriate;
- Communicating and enforcing credit policies to sales and customers;
- Performing accounts reconciliations from bank statements;
- Reviewing customer account applications, assigning credit limits and terms;
- Reporting risk issues and aged customers to finance managers and sales teams;
- Building and maintaining A/R reports for multiple regions;
- Collaborating with managers to address problems, implement solutions, and improve departmental performance;
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Business Administration or Finance;
- At least 4 years of experience in credit management, preferably in a wholesale/distribution environment;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Familiarity with collection laws and regulations;
- Advanced Excel skills;
