Job Title: OOW Bridge STCW III/I

At Protea Maritime Connection, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Officer of the Watch (OOW) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vessels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Navigation at sea, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Working under the Master, the OOW will be responsible for cargo operations in ports and maintaining the safety and environmental regulations on board.
  • Implementation and execution of the Management System and company policy, as well as the Standing Instructions and the Ship Security Plan.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Certificate of Competency STCW II/1
  • GMDSS (Global Maritime Distress Safety System)
  • First Aid at Sea or Medical First Aid
  • Advanced Fire Fighting
  • CPSC & RB (Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats)
  • STCW Personal Survival Techniques
  • STCW Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities
  • STCW Elementary First Aid
  • STCW Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting
  • Designated Security Duties training
  • Medical certificate in accordance to requirements for seafarers e.g. ENG 1 or equivalent
