Director of External Communications

Prologis is a global leader in logistics real estate, with a presence in 19 countries and a portfolio of approximately 72 million square meters of high-quality properties. We're seeking a talented and strategic communications professional to join our team as Director, EU External Communications.
About the RoleWe're looking for a seasoned communications expert who can craft and execute our strategy for telling Prologis' company story to our customers, partners, and key audiences in Europe. As a key member of our Global Communications team, you'll work closely with our senior vice president of Global Communications to develop and implement communications strategies that drive business objectives and grow brand awareness.
Key Responsibilities- Articulate the Prologis Europe story strategically and proactively to showcase our role in defining the future of supply chains and logistics.
- Build and nurture relationships with senior leaders and regional teams in our European business and throughout the company.
- Work with regional teams on high-level projects, bringing expertise in reputational management and public affairs to the group's work.
- Build and enhance relationships with external media outlets, including top-tier business and industry trade publications, to garner local, regional, and national coverage of Prologis.
- Lead development of all Europe-focused PR materials, including press releases, blogs, company fact sheets, and other public-facing materials to support communications strategies.
- Help manage partnerships with Prologis PR agency partners in Europe.
- Work with the Global Communications team to ensure that the company is tracking, monitoring, and measuring media coverage on traditional, digital, and social channels.
- Prepare approved company spokespeople in Europe for media interviews and other engagements, including training spokespeople as needed.
- Identify external opportunities, including media interviews, speaking engagements at industry conferences, and other forums to showcase Prologis thought leadership.
- Create innovative PR programs that will increase awareness and positive perception of our brand, leadership team, and workplace culture.
- Effectively respond to reputational challenges in Europe as they arise, including crisis communications, working in coordination with the senior vice president, Global Communications.
- Guide and manage a team of regional PR colleagues to help focus their work, develop their careers, and ensure close alignment with the enterprise communications organization.
- 7+ years of relevant experience in media/PR, with a focus in real estate, commercial development, public affairs, community affairs, or finance a plus.
- Demonstrate a successful track record of relationships with top-tier business media.
- Collaborative and thrive on working cross-functionally.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines consistently.
- Excellent writing, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience working in or managing a PR agency.
- Previous crisis communications experience.
