About the Role
This position is a vital member of the Indirects Procurement Leadership team. The role offers guidance to the Global Functional/Corporate Services Purchasing Team, which comprises 8 to 10 sourcing professionals located across various regions. Areas of focus include, but are not limited to: IT, Human Resources, Insurance, Legal, Marketing and Communications, Travel and Expense.
In your upcoming role as Global Procurement Category Manager, you will
Spearhead the formulation and execution of effective sourcing and category management strategies. Drive the implementation and enhancement of standardized sourcing processes, the necessary culture, and continuous improvement initiatives. Identify best practices and industry benchmarks. Cultivate and maintain comprehensive market knowledge within your areas of responsibility. Develop the organization to pinpoint improvement opportunities, explore cost-saving avenues, and establish a total cost of ownership perspective both internally and with external suppliers. Actively strive to enhance commercial terms with suppliers, discovering methods to minimize expenditure and reduce costs to align with the company's financial goals. Collaborate with key stakeholders across businesses, functions, and ISC to foster alignment around objectives and create unified execution plans to support business growth and profitability enhancement. Extensive expertise in procurement and/or functional (corporate service) roles. Change management experience: overseeing improvement initiatives with diverse teams and addressing the cultural dimensions of the change to be implemented. Proficiency in Sourcing, including Strategic Sourcing Methodology and contract management. A university bachelor's or master's degree, preferably in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field applicable to the management categories.It’s advantageous if you have
Experience (direct/indirect) engaging with sales and customer service teams. Strong project management skills with lean management methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma.We believe you are a results-driven individual who relentlessly pursues high standards and fosters a culture of ownership and accountability.
