About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Technical Engineer to join our team at DEME Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in the preparation and execution of our offshore projects.

Responsibilities
  • Develop method statements for our works before execution, reviewing and checking Orcaflex work from the engineering department and detailed engineering reports and procedures.
  • Optimize and implement method statements in practice, taking the lead when necessary, and ensuring objectives are met on time and on budget.
  • Take care of ad hoc needs of the project and actively respond to questions from the project management.
  • Ensure our vessels receive the logistics support they need to deliver our projects.
Requirements
  • Qualified civil or industrial engineer, preferably in construction or electro-mechanics.
  • Keen interest or knowledge in marine, hydraulic engineering, and/or subsea cables.
  • Budgeting, calculation, and/or execution of civil works is a strong suit.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel on rotation or flexibility to work from our HQ in Belgium.
  • Fluent spoken and written English.
