About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Coordinator to join our team at Bunge's Amsterdam plant. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of all employees, contractors, and visitors to the site.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective safety policies, procedures, and protocols to prevent harm to individuals and facilities.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and accident investigations to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Collaborate with management and employees to promote a safety-first culture and foster a culture of proactive safety among workers.
- Verify, manage, and report on various safety controls, including incident reporting, audits, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate the preparation of jobs, including TRA's, SOP's, toolboxes, and regular field walks.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee knowledge and skills in safety and health protection.
- Participate in safety meetings and committees to discuss safety issues, establish corrective action plans, and contribute to organized safety initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or HSE-related field.
- Proven experience in safety management, risk assessment, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards, including HOP (Human and Organizational Performance) principle.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, contractors, and management.
