About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technology Strategist to join our team at Indorama Ventures Public. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving our technology strategy forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a comprehensive technology and intellectual property (IP) map for strategic technology fields, leveraging open-source data, market reports, and IP searches.
  • Support our team during technical exchanges with technology developers, fostering strong relationships and ensuring seamless collaboration.
  • Cultivate interfaces with third parties and technology developers to collect valuable data and information for technical analysis.
  • Develop benchmarks of various technologies across each field, utilizing process modeling, life cycle assessments (LCAs), and selecting experimental work provided by third parties. Provide input for economic models based on your findings.
  • Create and maintain an IT database housing all relevant information and exchanges related to our strategic technology fields.
  • Stay up-to-date on major shifts in the industry and newcomers, providing timely news updates to our team.
  • Conduct intakes for early-stage start-ups, evaluating their potential and suitability for our organization.

Qualifications:

  • A Chemical or Process Engineer with a Master's degree or higher, possessing basic training in economics and IP.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a relevant work environment, such as chemicals/plastics manufacturing, technology development, engineering, consultancy, or IP firms.
  • Prior experience with PX, PTA, EO, MEG, PET, packaging, and/or recycling is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with process modeling and LCAs using tools like Aspen+ and SimaPro is preferred.
  • The ability to use basic tools for process engineering design is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong command of the English language.
  • Able to travel across EU 1-2 times per month, with a preference for working within the IVL entity in Europe.
