We are currently seeking a talented Advanced Design Tool Programming Specialist to join our team at Damen Naval.

About the Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge design tools that will revolutionize the naval shipbuilding industry. As an Advanced Design Tool Programming Specialist, you will be responsible for coding and optimizing data exchange mechanisms between software packages, working closely with our experienced Naval Architects and Marine engineers.

The Role

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from conceptual design to performance analysis. You will be responsible for developing efficient and effective solutions that meet the needs of our customers and stakeholders. Your expertise in programming languages such as Python, combined with your knowledge of 2D CAD and 3D modelling, will enable you to make a significant impact on our design process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in ICT, Naval Architecture, or Mechanical Engineering with a focus on programming and scripting.
  • Proven experience with programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
  • Strong understanding of 2D CAD and 3D modelling principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
