EMEA Sales and Business Development Manager

The RTS Intercom Systems Sales and Business Development Manager for the EMEA region is responsible for growing business above market, focusing on accounts in the region, developing sales and business development strategies, and ensuring their implementation. This role involves creating incremental business over new verticals and partners, with a strong focus on market trends like Cloud-SaaS-IaaS in integration with hardware and software solutions and core verticals. The manager creates demand and increases sales by creating project leads through SMART business development in coordination with local key customers and early involvement with large end-users and major influencer groups.
Key Responsibilities:- Actively manage customer structure in the region (customer pyramid)
- Ensure sales targets by increasing share of wallet with existing as well as new customers and in existing as well as new business, identifying additional business opportunities (cross-selling) or developing potential new ones in the region
- Conduct regular customer visits and establish close relationship with customers in the region
- Implement customer strategy for local branch offices of major (key) account customers and support
- Negotiate terms and conditions within authorization scheme for accounts in the region
- Take over local SMART Business Development activities in the region to support local customer base
- Work closely with Application Engineering, Marketing Communications, Product Management to ensure that local projects are covered properly in all project stages
- Provide feedback on market trends, customer/end-user needs and support collection of competitor information (portfolio as well as industries)
- Insert customer related data such as account information, activities, opportunities regularly into CRM and make use of available CRM data and reports to follow-up; Make active use also of other specific sales IT tools (SAP, etc.)
- Timely inform supply chain on extraordinary demand (special sales initiatives, big projects) which is not covered by regular forecast
- Support cross-border opportunities
- Translate end-user requirements into a technical solution and support implementation
- Create technical concepts, system designs for dedicated product solutions and projects
- Assist end-users with troubleshooting and upgrades throughout the life of the system (level 1-3 support)
- Support final installation and commissioning phase
- Proactively drive projects in the sales phase within the customer Journey
- Explaining concepts to end-users, influencers and system Integrators on site, at local fairs and international tradeshows
- Organize, host and conduct trainings for customers locally
- Provide guidance and support to Application Engineering, Product Management to create training material
- Strong customer focus
- Team player with strong hunting mindset and motivation
- At least 5 years of sales experience in Critical Communications or Broadcast markets
- Bachelor's degree in technical domain (preferably Master degree) combined with experience in the field related to professional communications
- Specific product and implementation knowledge of Intercom Cloud SaaS and IaaS Solutions
- Ability to specify, implement and support modern holistic Intercom solutions
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal in fluent English
- Additional regional languages like Dutch, German, French is an advantage
- Negotiation and presentation skills
- Analytical competency and PC skills
- Ability to plan, organize and follow through/implement activities to achieve timely, accurate results, focusing on key priorities and effectively juggling multiple projects
- Ability to identify problems and root causes, being creative in problem solving, listening to all input, examining all possibilities and remaining open minded
