About the Role

Royal IHC is seeking a highly skilled Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and engineering equipment for our maritime clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement mechanical design solutions for various equipment, including winch systems, tensioners, and hose reel systems.
  • Lead and coordinate engineering teams to ensure project deliverables meet quality and completeness standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project approach, concept selection, and scope of work.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with project requirements and company standards.
Requirements
  • Higher vocational education (HBO) or academic higher education (WO) in marine or mechanical discipline.
  • Five years' experience in a similar position, with expertise in software such as Femap, Ansys, AutoCAD, Teamcenter, and SolidEdge.
  • Strong analytical and leadership skills, with a hands-on and person-oriented approach.
  • At least two years' experience in leading senior engineers.
  • Knowledge of engineering processes in a project-based work environment.
What We Offer
  • Gross monthly salary between €4000,- and €5919,- +8% holiday allowance.
  • 40 vacation days for full-time employment, with the option to buy or sell additional leave.
