About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Portfolio Manager to join our Alternative Fixed Income team at Aegon Asset Management. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the operational portfolio management processes, working closely with investment managers to ensure the smooth execution of loan transactions and daily fund and portfolio logistics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assume responsibility for loan transaction execution, including execution of loan documentation, setting up transactions in our trading systems, and coordinating capital calls with investors.
  • Monitor existing investments, review and manage static data, and oversee loan covenant monitoring and testing.
  • Prepare various reports, including investment and commitment reporting to internal and external counterparties and stakeholders.
  • Assist in annual or ad-hoc audit cycles and contribute to updates of relevant policies and procedures.
  • Support the investment managers with marketing tasks, including keeping marketing materials up to date.
Requirements
  • HBO or WO (University degree), preferably in Finance or Economics.
  • Work experience in (operational) handling of private assets at another asset management firm or at a bank.
  • Experience or affinity with loan/bond administration systems and data analysis.
  • Fluent in English, and preferably also in Dutch.
  • Good people skills and able to communicate effectively with various teams and stakeholders.
  • DSI certified or willing to register with the DSI and meet the compulsory Guidelines of the European Securities Markets Authority (ESMA) on knowledge, skills, and expertise.
