About the Role

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Safety and Quality Coordinator to join our team in the Netherlands. As a key member of our QSH&E team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safety, health, and environmental management on our construction sites.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert advice to stakeholders on client, AECOM, and regulatory standards;
  • Maintaining knowledge of specific government agency requirements;
  • Proactively improving SH&E on active construction sites;
  • Supporting the Q&A and SH&E manager in ensuring that client and AECOM specific management systems are applied;
  • Supporting the implementation of a strong QSH&E culture;
  • Independently determining and developing approaches to QSH&E solutions;
  • Investigating accidents, injuries, and complaints concerning hazards in the workplace;
  • Implementing safety, quality, and customer focus in your day-to-day activities;
  • Recommending and implementing improvements in processes, design, procedures, and operating equipment to minimize hazards in SH&E and Quality;
  • Coaching and developing colleagues and contractors in SH&E and Quality;
  • Applying both quality assurance and control to all projects/programs;
  • Monitoring SH&E and Quality data on a monthly basis;
  • Maintaining a zero accidents, incidents, and spills mentality.

Qualifications:

  • Organizational effectiveness;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills;
  • Strong knowledge of local Dutch legislation;
  • Sufficient understanding of management systems (ISO45001, ISO9001, etc.);
  • Strong level of auditing skills;
  • Self-starting and team player;
  • Enjoy working on projects and pragmatic in various Quality and SH&E-related topics;
  • Exemplary behavior with regards to safety and quality;
  • Strong customer focus;
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in SH&E and Quality management, engineering, or similar technical fields of study;
  • You have an MVK, HVK, MoSHE, or equivalent certification/training;
  • Fluent in Dutch and English (written and verbal);
  • Previous experience in a construction, industrial, or consulting company is a plus;
  • Valid driving license.
