Perovskite Solar Cell Researcher

About this role
At TNO, we're pushing the boundaries of perovskite solar cell technology. As a researcher in this field, you'll be working on optimizing the electron transport layer (ETL) to reduce hysteresis and improve open circuit voltage in n-i-p device structures. This involves selecting the right ETL material, optimizing dopants and additives, and implementing an interface layer between the ETL and perovskite absorber.
Your responsibilities
- Optimize the ETL to reduce hysteresis and improve open circuit voltage
- Implement a perovskite absorber suited for single junction applications with a bandgap optimized towards 1.5 eV
What we're looking for
- A background in physics, chemistry, materials science, or electrical engineering
- High motivation, curiosity, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with the team
- Minimum six months of commitment, preferably during the MSc phase
- University affiliation during the internship
