Underwriting Assistant

About the Role:
The Assistant Underwriter will play a key role in the growth and development of the Underwriting department. The focus of this role is to support underwriters in their day-to-day operations, ensuring the smooth processing of insurance applications and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document and process received quotations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with underwriting guidelines.
- Document and process policies into the Underwriting systems, maintaining data integrity and consistency.
- Perform data analysis to identify trends and patterns in insurance applications and claims, including policy settings.
- Support compliance queries on an individual risk level, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Administer technical pricing on an individual risk level, applying underwriting expertise.
- Support data accuracy in underwriting systems and policy documentation, maintaining high standards of quality.
- Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulations, upholding the company's reputation.
Requirements:
- Diploma or HBO education in a relevant field, such as insurance or risk management.
- Excellent attention to detail, with a keen eye for accuracy.
- Proficiency in both Dutch and English languages, with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Previous experience in the insurance industry, although not essential, would be beneficial.
- A strong enthusiasm for learning and a willingness to develop skills and knowledge.
