The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Repairing and fitting doors, floors, frames, roofs, stairs, ceilings, walls, window sills, and other wooden structures
- Studying technical drawings and specifications to prepare for carpentry work
- Inspecting existing constructions to ensure soundness and condition
- Determining dimensions and distances using measuring tools
- Cutting wooden boards and beams to size using power tools
- Fastening building materials together using nails, screws, and bolts
- Finishing joints and seams with skirting boards or sealant
The candidate will work on disassembling and reassembling wooden crates for the transport of large high-tech parts, based on technical drawings and guidelines.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Noticing and reporting deviations
- Ensuring quality
- Working safely
The candidate will work in two shifts, with varying hours from week to week.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Handy hands and experience reading technical drawings
- A good command of the English language
- Willingness to work in shifts
- A technical background or experience in woodworking
- Team player skills
