You will be part of the Land Affairs division within the Expertise, Business Operations, and Stations department. In the front office, you will collaborate with twelve other legal advisors, each specializing in their respective branches. Close cooperation with colleagues in your branch and the Land Affairs division is essential. You will discuss contracts with your mid-office colleagues and can rely on the back office for asset reports or overviews. Position OverviewAs a legal consultant for land affairs at Enexis, you play a crucial role in ensuring a dependable energy network across the regions. This position has a significant impact on the energy transition and society at large. The role is based in Hengelo.
You will serve as the link between the technical implementation of our stations and the legal agreements with landowners. Your primary responsibility involves establishing building rights and easements, as well as acquiring land. Project managers and engineers will seek your legal guidance regarding the locations for new stations. You will address questions such as: Can we purchase new land independently? What agreements must we establish with the landowner? Are there any legal constraints related to pollution, permits, or usage rights? Together with the project manager, you will determine the optimal location and engage with landowners to negotiate terms for land acquisition.
In addition to land acquisition, you will also address legal matters concerning existing assets. This includes maintenance of adjacent land strips, rights obtained through prescription, or the implications of relocating a station for electricity or gas. You will analyze usage agreements and relevant legal provisions, providing sound advice and involving specialists when necessary. The requests for advice will come from various colleagues or even individuals with concerns. Your technical insights and empathetic approach will be valuable in dealing with landowners, while your legal expertise remains paramount.
QualificationsWe are looking for a new team member to join our enjoyable and professional team in Hengelo as a Legal Consultant for Land Affairs. If you resonate with the following profile:
- You possess HBO-level education and thinking.
- You have a legal background with experience in contract law.
- Experience in land acquisition is preferred.
You will be our legal authority. You have a solid understanding of civil law, excel in interpreting and drafting legal documents, and are sensitive to the environment. You communicate effectively with individuals at all levels and assert yourself confidently. Additionally, you proactively engage with colleagues, encouraging them to involve you in their issues promptly. You are capable of working independently while ensuring smooth operations.

- A salary range from € to €4,466 gross per month (based on a 40-hour workweek). With additional benefits, your salary can reach up to €5,748 gross per month.
