Procurement Strategist for Offshore Energy

SBM Offshore is a leading technology provider for the offshore energy industry, dedicated to making a sustainable impact. Our team is seeking a skilled Procurement Strategist for Offshore Energy to join our Schiedam office in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
Estimated Salary: €80,000 - €110,000 per year, depending on experience.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced procurement professional to develop and implement category strategies that drive business growth and competitiveness. As a Procurement Strategist for Offshore Energy, you will be responsible for managing strategically important vendors, ensuring compliance with sourcing strategies, and monitoring contracted savings. Your primary goal will be to identify opportunities for cost reduction, improve quality, and enhance vendor relationships.
Main Responsibilities
- Category Strategy Development: Define and implement category strategies that align with SBM's business objectives and future project requirements.
- Vendor Management: Ensure effective management of strategically important vendors, including contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and relationship development.
- Sourcing Compliance: Monitor and report on SC KPIs for the category, including savings, spend under group framework agreements, and schedule delivery.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with vendor relationships, such as mergers and acquisitions, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience: At least 15 years of experience in piping procurement roles in EPCI companies or sales engineer/project manager positions at vendors.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, business administration, or supply chain management.
- Skills:
- Commercial Profile: Strong understanding of commercial principles and practices.
- Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation skills, including contract negotiation and conflict resolution.
- Contractual Negotiation: Proficient in contractual negotiation and drafting.
