About the Job

Vattenfall is seeking a skilled Data Scientist to contribute to the energy transition and sustainable world. This role will involve developing data-driven business solutions with a strong impact on Vattenfall's Business to Consumer (BtC) ambitions.

Your Position

As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for developing data science solutions with a strong focus on solving complex business challenges using data and machine learning. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure your solutions meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop data science solutions from idea to implementation
  • Contribute to complex business challenges in one of the 3 business domains
  • Develop yourself and your colleagues through the Data Science Authority
Where Will You Work?

The Vattenfall BTC Data & Analytics department develops data-driven solutions for our customers and customer processes. We do this by creating and implementing machine learning models, strategic analysis, reporting, and self-service data models.

About the Team

You will be part of the domain focusing on advanced marketing analytics, analyzing behavioral data, churn patterns, and customer lifetime value. This team provides actionable insights, inferring the NPV of prospects, personalizing content on the Vattenfall website, and predicting the most valuable actions for a customer.

About You

We are looking for a solution-oriented team player with a critical, proactive mindset. You should be able to explain complex models in simple terms and have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Dutch.

Requirements
  • Academic degree with a strong quantitative component
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in a data scientist role
  • Experience with Marketing Intelligence/Analytics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working experience in an agile environment
Technical Skills
  • Writing production-worthy Python code
  • Extensive knowledge of machine learning techniques and their application
  • Solid foundation in probability theory and statistics
  • Working with large and complex data sets
  • Experience with DevOps practices
About Our Offer

We offer a competitive salary of €8,083 per month, based on education and relevant work experience. In addition to your salary, we provide a comprehensive secondary benefits package, including:
