Job Title: Lead Analyst

As a key member of the Private Debt operations team at Aegon Asset Management, you will play a crucial role in coordinating the full operational value chain of our private debt activities. This includes data management, invoicing, and documentation management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the development of the new Private Debt Operations Team at Aegon Asset Management
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members
  • Act as a key point of contact for the Private Debt front office teams and the wider operations and IT team
  • Work closely with Technical Portfolio Managers of the Front Office
  • Data management of loans in scope, including supporting the loan set-up from contracts into AAM's systems and processes
  • Invoicing to borrowers
  • Bank account set-up, collect signatures, and archive documentation
  • Trade operations support, including completing checklists before processing trades
  • Process loan payments
  • Help resolve cash breaks and cash flow reconciliations
  • Implement, review, and continuously improve operational processes
  • Ensure the Private Debt operations department has adequate written policies and procedures/working instructions in place with appropriate governance
  • Develop a deep understanding of AAM's Private debt product range through front office interactions and scheduled training sessions
Requirements:
  • Approximately 4-6 years of experience in middle office loan servicing and settlement, and trade support
  • Proven track record in successful borrower onboarding and fund launches within a global asset management business
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • The ability to deliver excellent customer service
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Dutch is a must
  • Ability to establish strong effective communication lines with key stakeholders to ensure effective information sharing
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Skills: Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Experience with Aladdin a plus
