Overview of the Position
As the Director of Legal Learning and Development, you will spearhead the advancement and facilitation of the Legal, Regulatory & Compliance (LRC) Academy.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will oversee the Learning & Knowledge Management program specific to Legal & Compliance. Your primary focus will be to architect the strategy for the LRC Academy, ensuring that business requirements are integrated into effective and relevant action plans and solutions that align with the respective colleges of the LRC Academy.
You will establish, direct, and manage the potential resources of the LRC Academy and the Knowledge Management team, which will primarily operate in a virtual setting, consisting of one direct report along with a blend of internal and external contributors. Your leadership will ensure that this virtual team remains high-performing, motivated, skilled, and empowered to fulfill their duties in accordance with established objectives.
You will formulate and present annual business strategies, aligning organizational needs with the overarching business strategy and the ASML Global Learning & Knowledge Management strategy. Building a network of pertinent stakeholders and managing their expectations will be crucial. Collaborating closely with other Academy Leaders and the ASML Knowledge Management team, you will ensure coherence and teamwork across the Academies and within the ASML Knowledge Management framework.
Another vital aspect of your role will involve implementing processes and tools that are organized at the ASML Academy and Knowledge Management level. If necessary, you will propose, initiate, and develop new processes, organizational structures, and tools, ensuring ongoing enhancement in policies, procedures, frameworks, products, or services while maintaining quality standards.
In summary, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Leading and facilitating the development and effectiveness of the LRC Academy, addressing all agreed-upon business needs through the creation of structures, processes, content, and tools, supported by a team of Learning & Knowledge Management professionals.
- Enhancing the performance of ASML's Global Learning & Knowledge Management through continuous improvement, collaboration, and joint development with colleagues in the Learning & Knowledge Management organization.
- Directing the Knowledge Management program within the Legal & Compliance department, in harmony with the ASML Learning & Knowledge Management team.
The Learning and Development Lead will be integrated into the Legal & Compliance Operations and Strategy Execution Team, reporting directly to the Chief of Staff of the Legal & Compliance Operations and Strategy Execution Team.
Qualifications and Experience
To excel in this role, you should possess natural networking abilities, a strong team-oriented mindset, and excellent stakeholder management skills. You will be adept at building robust relationships, connecting individuals, and earning trust at various organizational levels, with the capability to lead and drive initiatives in contexts where authority is not explicitly granted.
Ideally, you will bring the following competencies and skills:
- Over 10 years of experience in Learning Management.
- Strong business acumen and adaptability.
- Exceptional analytical skills coupled with operational drive; a creative mindset and an international perspective.
- Independence and the ability to organize and prioritize your tasks effectively.
- A focus on quality and risk management.
- Familiarity with Legal & Compliance matters is advantageous.
About the Legal & Compliance Division
The Legal & Compliance division formulates and executes the company's strategy to mitigate risks while maximizing legal and commercial opportunities. We ensure adherence to all relevant legal and compliance areas, including securities regulations, insider trading, antitrust laws, labor regulations, anti-bribery and anti-corruption measures, privacy laws, and export controls.
