About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Power Originator to join our team at VARO Energy. As a key member of our origination team, you will be responsible for identifying and contacting power/renewable energy users in the Netherlands and Germany, assessing their needs, and structuring tailored contracts to achieve volume and margin targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and contact power/renewable energy users, mainly in the Netherlands and Germany, and assess how they can benefit from our trading and forecasting infrastructure.
- Structure the terms and conditions in close cooperation with analytical teams and the portfolio manager.
- Negotiate and conclude tailored contracts to achieve volume and margin targets within a lean and organized setting.
- Research and identify market opportunities and threats in a rapidly changing environment.
- Collaborate with a diverse team with complementary skill sets to share insights and further develop business opportunities.
- Proactively prioritize competing business demands to be efficient and gain the highest return and value.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Fluency in both Dutch and English is a must. German is a plus.
- Minimum 4 years of working experience in the European power sector.
- Master's degree with a good academic record in business or a technical background.
- Ability to oversee complexity and make appropriate business propositions.
- Basic experience with origination/structured deals.
- Commercial feeling with an analytical mindset.
