Research Project Manager

The Eindhoven University of Technology is seeking an experienced Research Project Manager to oversee and lead the management of research initiatives from concept to completion. The successful candidate will coordinate all aspects of research projects, ensuring they are executed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Project Planning & Execution: Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and milestones. Ensure projects are executed according to the set objectives and schedules.
- Team Leadership: Oversee and coordinate project teams, including researchers, data analysts, and support staff.
- Budget Management: Monitor and manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure the project stays within the financial scope.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address obstacles or delays. Ensure contingency plans are in place.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication on project progress, challenges, and deliverables.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular progress reports, research findings, and final outcomes to internal and external stakeholders.
- PhD in chemical engineering and related fields
- Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience managing research projects or similar project management roles.
- A dynamic function;
- A full-time employment;
- Appointment will be for one year initially, with the possibility for a permanent appointment according to performance and unchanged conditions;
- A salary is offered between € 4,332,- and €6,737,- gross per month (based on 1.0 fte), depending on knowledge and experience (based on salary scale 11 or 12, CAO of Dutch Universities);
- Plus 8% holiday allowance and 8.3% end-of-year allowance;
- An attractive package of fringe benefits, including child daycare, saving schemes and pension provisions and excellent sports facilities;
