ASML is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Research Group Lead to lead our Optics and Metrology group. As a key member of our research management team, you will be responsible for driving the development and maintenance of technical competence in optics and optical metrology.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead a team of approximately 15-20 professionals in the field of optics and optical metrology.
- Develop and deploy a group mission and vision.
- Leverage and develop the skills of team members by creating teams with complementary skills and coaching them in personal effectiveness and development.
- Hire world-class group members to excel in project deliverables.
- Responsible for the planning and allocation of people to various project activities, in cooperation with program and project managers.
- Involved in rolling out HR activities, such as target setting, development conversations, and appraisals.
- Contributing to group overarching activities by cooperation with colleagues, being part of the Research management team.
- Master's or PhD in physics and/or optics.
- At least 5-10 years of experience in managing teams in relevant fields of science.
- Experience in applied research in academia and/or industry and recognized as one of the main contributors.
- Strong analytical skills, intelligent, quick thinker.
- Motivated by new technical content.
- Driven to push boundaries.
- Strong proven managerial skills.
- Able to grow people and teams.
- Excellent communication skills.
