Research FocusThe PhD researcher will work on developing a framework that assists engineers in their diagnostics work, shortening the downtime of a system. The framework must be conversational, trustworthy, and able to provide accurate answers based on facts.
Key Responsibilities- Develop a framework that combines knowledge graphs and large language models to provide accurate and trustworthy answers.
- Design and implement a conversational interface that allows engineers to quickly check facts and procedures.
- Collaborate with the Diagnostics & Data Science Group in ASML Research to integrate the framework with their existing systems.
- Contribute to the development of open-source tools and publish research papers in top-tier conferences and journals.
- BSc and MSc degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a closely related field.
- Good statistical background and knowledge of probability theory, good understanding of Machine Learning and Deep Learning.
- Programming skills in Python and PyTorch/Jax.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Ability to read scientific papers and work in an interdisciplinary team.
- Full-time employment for four years with an intermediate evaluation after nine months.
- Salary and benefits in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities.
