Picnic, a revolutionary grocery delivery service, seeks an ambitious Commodity Specialist to join our diverse team at our Amsterdam HQ. As a key player in our scale-up environment, you will be responsible for managing our product range and ensuring we deliver the best quality.

Job Description

We are on the hunt for a talented individual with superb category management and negotiations skills. If you have what it takes to build lasting relationships with suppliers and drive commercial opportunities, we want to hear from you

  • Negotiation Strategies: Define clear negotiation strategies to secure competitive conditions with our suppliers.
  • Supplier Relationships: Build and develop deep understanding of your category through a combination of Picnic data, customer insights, and supplier input.
  • Category Innovations: Identify commercial opportunities using a data-first approach and create pragmatic plans to drive category improvements.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Understand end-to-end supply chain and identify opportunities to improve the range, product quality, and profitability.

You will work closely with your category team to bring the best products to our customers. In return, you can expect a dynamic work environment, a competitive salary of €65,000 - €85,000 per annum, and plenty of opportunities to grow and develop your skills. Our benefits package includes free professional language courses, flexible working hours, and a fully electric vehicle fleet.

About You
  • Qualifications: BSc. or MSc. degree in Business Administration, Economics, or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1-4 years of experience as a Buyer and/or Category Manager in a similar industry.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, fluency in Dutch and English.
