Job Overview

We are seeking an International Commodity Accounting Specialist to join our Finance team. This role offers a unique opportunity to experience rapid growth in our scale-up phase and have an impact on process improvements.

Main Responsibilities

  • Execute financial control and accounting services towards timely, reliable, and complete closing and reporting.
  • Work closely with the Finance Director and other teams to ensure accurate and timely VAT reconciliations, balance sheet, and P&L reviews.
  • Reconcile key account balances, gross margin, unrealized margin, stock, and other critical areas.
  • Contribute to efficient external audit processes and lead operational efficiency projects related to accounting processes and reporting.
  • Cover day-to-day accounting tasks, including accruals, provisions, and GL postings.

Requirements

  • University degree in Accounting/Finance/Commerce or relevant study (Bachelor Accountancy preferred).
  • At least 3 years' experience in commodities trading or Big 4 Audit firms.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, particularly IFRS 9, 13, and 15, and IAS 2.
  • Professional certifications like RA, ACCA, or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good command of English language and MS Office skills, especially Excel.
  • Knowledge of European energy markets and Microsoft Dynamics NAV is a plus.

Salary Range

The estimated salary for this position is between $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
