Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled researcher to join our team at AMOLF, a leading research institute in the field of nanotechnology and statistical physics. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a cutting-edge project focused on the stochastic thermodynamics of nanomechanical computers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and fabricate nanomechanical bits and logic gates using cleanroom nanofabrication techniques
  • Experimentally study the evolution of these devices using photonic characterization tools
  • Conduct numerical simulations to help interpret and contextualize the results
  • Collaborate with the research team to advance the project and publish research findings
Requirements
  • Master's degree in physics or engineering
  • Experience in cleanroom nanofabrication, optomechanics, or stochastic thermodynamics is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
