Job Summary

The Project Controls Manager is required to oversee a Project Controls staff and provide comprehensive cost control, reports, and forecasts for the project team and client.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop and maintain multiple project cost reports on a weekly basis.
  2. Develop and maintain reports on weekly and monthly labor progress and performance, project cost tracking, indirect labor, rental equipment, and subcontracts.
  3. Assist with the change management system including change orders, budget shifts, and trends including contingency management.
  4. Timely and accurate forward-looking analysis and mitigation plan development to reduce or eliminate unforeseen cost impacts.
  5. Actively participate in reviews of project controls deliverables with the project team.
  6. Assist management in forecasting project expected costs for monthly reporting.
  7. Develop and maintain budgets in a progress tracking tool.
  8. Assist with auditing payroll coding on a weekly basis.
  9. Perform data audits to ensure accuracy of information.
  10. Liaison with procurement and billing departments.
  11. Make cost corrections.
  12. Understand earned value management systems.
  13. Manage and oversee Project Controls Staff.

Requirements

  1. 5+ years of experience in Project Controls.
  2. Thorough working knowledge of scheduling and costing principles.
  3. Proficiency in MS Office and Primavera.
  4. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements

  1. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  2. Ability to stand for extended periods.
  3. Ability to walk the property and laydown yards.
  4. Ability to carry up to 50 pounds.
