Job Title: Biotherapeutics Unit Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Biotherapeutics Unit Technician to join our team at the Netherlands Cancer Institute. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for generating T cell products for clinical application under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) conditions.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will work in a multidisciplinary team of analysts, pharmacists, doctors, researchers, and quality officers to contribute to our growing T cell program within the context of the NKI/AVL Center for Cellular Therapies. You will be responsible for the generation of T cell products, which will be used in clinical studies to investigate the safety and effectiveness of these products in patients with cancer.

Responsibilities
  • Generate T cell products for clinical application under GMP conditions
  • Work in a multidisciplinary team to contribute to the development of cellular immunotherapy strategies
  • Use various techniques, including cell culture, genetic modification, selection techniques, flow cytometry, and molecular analyses
  • Collaborate with other colleagues in the context of GMP quality assurance
Requirements
  • Basic education at HLO level (e.g., in immunology, cell biology, biotechnology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or a similar field)
  • Interest in generating T cell products for clinical application under GMP conditions
  • Relevant experience with, for example, cell culture and various relevant analysis methods
  • Good communication skills, an eye for detail, quality-oriented, and a flexible and proactive attitude
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary, ranging from € 2,554,- to € 3,468,- gross per month, based on a 36-hour working week. Additionally, you will receive 8.33% holiday pay, a fixed year-end bonus of 8.33%, and a travel allowance of € 0.19 per km.
